Just a little update on me :)

In case you are wondering why I have such little posts recently, I have been madly working away on the World Card Making Day card contest.  I made three of them, and I would loove to show you guys and get some feedback on it, but as part of the requirement, you cannot post anywhere public.  It's hard to know what the judges are looking for - there's just too much talented people out there, and wouldn't have a clue how they are going to judge that.  However, if any one of you are interested, it is sponsored by Paper Crafts Magazine, and more info can be found here.  All the submissions (that are not winners) are sent to the troops through Operation Write Home.  So, just making them made me happy to know that I'm doing this for a good cause.  After the deadline has passed, and assuming that I'm not one of the lucky people, I'll post them at that time.

My reno has been pushed back and I'm still at my parents till mid October.  I don't have any problems with that - actually, I think that I've got it pretty good right now.  It's going to be hard to go back to doing everything myself :)  How spoiled am I?

Here's some simple cards again that I made that I'll share with you:

And - my three winners from my blog candy - I just sent it in the mail today, so hopefully it won't take too long to get to your mailbox.  Let me know when you get them!  Have a great evening!

  1. Those are so pretty!! You did a great job on all of them. I love the folded ribbon in the middle one! I am sure your contest cards are amazing. Best of luck!

  2. Great cards!! Good luck with the competion. Can't wait to see what you submit!

  3. Very pretty cards. Good luck in the competition! We are working on how kitchen floor. We have fixed the hole and now to lay wood down. We start this morning. Unfortunately, we have to stay here through all the mess. Hope the reno doesn't take longer. I'll post my pics of the kitchen...before and the end of the week if I have strength to get to the computer.

  4. I wish you could have heard me when I came across your blog - I gasped, followed by a loud, satisfied sigh. I was searching for 'lever cards' - how-to's, and google brought you up. I love, love, love your paper flower bouquet, and can't wait to get to the rest of your blog.

  5. Sorry the reno got delayed but you seem to be in good hands at your parents' house... ;-)
    Cool cards, as always! :-)

  6. Beautiful cards....
