When life gives you scraps... :)

Hello everyone!
I'm up on the Unity blog today for Inspiration Wednesday!

Well, I was inspired by this photo...

 photo quilt_zps9aaa7761.jpg

along with many beautiful quilting that's out there...
and thought that it would be so much fun to create a PAPER QUILT!

I've had some of these beautiful Ann Butler stamps sitting in my stash,
and thought that it would be pretty to make a little project using the {be inspired} Challenge colors.

I looked through my ink collection and found these -
a bit different but still gives a similar feel :)

(By the way - these inks are AWESOME!
Totally juicy and comes in pretty colors!
It's from Impress stamp store.)

I stamped with various colors, cut them out and stitched them together...
and here's what I made!

It's an easy project and fun to make!

Love this day... SMAK Saturday.

Hello my friends!
Happy weekend!!!!

It's not very often I do a layout,
but don't  know what got into me.. BUT
I decided to take on a challenge and attempt it again!

I love the new SMAK kit...
(well, I love EVERY kit!)
and when I thought about what I'd make with it...

My wedding day came to my mind!
It definitely was the best day ever,
and I've yet to make a layout about it,
so decided that this would be the time.

Well, here's my take on a layout using these stamps!

 photo DSC_1911_zps28e18ef7.jpg

I used So Noted papers from Carta Bella -
just love the pretty pastel colors!

 photo DSC_1907_zps463c41f5.jpg

I used the big tag to record our special date...
and strung through twine along with buttons and wooden doilies.

 photo DSC_1908_zps33184a55.jpg

Just love that Daily Journal stamp!

 photo DSC_1910_zps81347a95.jpg

The little tags are so cute -
was perfect to jot down little notes ;)

 photo DSC_1906_zpsa81e9f57.jpg

Alright -
don't laugh at me.
I don't have a single DIGITAL shot of my wedding
(eek. totally shows how old I am!)
so I had the hardest time finding a photo to scrap!
However, this worked.
It even has the same yellow tone as these pretty papers!

 photo DSC_1909_zpsb0190ab5.jpg

This probably is my fave part of my layout -
I used Epiphany Crafts to add epoxy onto those silhouettes,
and played with twine to create a 'heart'.

Hope that you enjoying seeing my creation today :)
(Yep - it'll probably be another year before I attempt scrapbooking again!)

Unity Thursday - gettin' ready for the holidays!

Hey all!
It's hard to believe that my vacay is over, but feels so glad to be craftin' back again!
I had a wonderful getaway -
got to watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon,
went to check out Vegas for the first time,
became a kid again in Disney,
shopped in San Fran and Portland...
Ahh... now back to reality.

Now, I'm so excited for this time of year...
not only 'cause the kids go back to school so I can craft all day (shh. don't tell my hubby!)
but for all the deep rich beautiful colors that I get to work with for fall, Halloween, and Christmas...

You should be arriving here from Shemaine's blog
and as always, for your reference -
here is the list of all the participating blogs today.

Thienly Azim - that's me!

If you have been hopping all along, you probably have seen the fun new stamps released today.
I've made a few things to share with you using them!

First up is a spooky bottle made from amazing bottle cap stamps.
Oooh, do I ever love these...
as soon I as I saw them, I knew that they should be in my collection.

 photo DSC_2532-1_zpsb5a071a3.jpg

This project was made using this BOTTLE file,
and with Chillingsworth Manor papers from Echo Park.

This stamp is actually from the current KOM
where you can find many Halloween stamps as well!

 photo DSC_2539_zpsbc4b4b5b.jpg

These bottle cap stamps for adorbs!
You can use by itself as a 2D cap,
or I cut out the cap border of the 'boo' to adhere onto the real cap.

 photo DSC_2536_zpsd4b73ed2.jpg

This pic doesn't have a 'stamped' image on it,
but wanted to share the top close up, too!
Thought that the 'haunted' totally mimicked the 'Heineken' look!

The next up is a new ANGIEgirl!
Please welcome Hazel!

 photo sale3_zpsf20ef5fb.jpg

I just love her and had a blast coloring her in..
here's my version of her!

 photo DSC_2547-1_zpsc6bb8182.jpg

Isn't she lovely?
I would love to be a witch if I can look like her! lol.

 photo DSC_2546_zpsa68a8031.jpg

I added on some stickles glitter onto her outfit -
looks more magical that way!

 photo DSC_2545_zpsb6565bbb.jpg

I don't know if you can see the broom at the back,
but I made one with a wooden stick and jute twine :)

Also - there's another ANGIEgirl in the neighborhood...
and it's our ANGELA!!!
Yes, she does it all! and we love her!

 photo sale4_zps34630b7c.jpg

Lastly, but not least, I made some fall pumpkins using the current KOM -

 photo DSC_2523_zps35f9f204.jpg

It's a perfect decor piece item for this time of year!

 photo DSC_2527-1_zps64ae1cb4.jpg

Unity Thursday!

Hello everyone!
It's another Unity Thursday!!!
However, since I'm on vacation right now,
I've not had a chance to get crafty to make anything new with the new releases!

At this time, I should be in Anaheim,
partyin' up with Disney friends!

However, I thought that I still would like to join in and share some of my 'other' fun projects!
Don't forget to comment -
as there's always 3 lucky winners chosen to receive $20 gift certificates!

You should be arriving from Shemaine's blog!

I have a fun little project to share with ya -
something magical and pretty!

It's an inspirational decor piece!!!
I just love this quote -
'Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.'
which comes from this kit: The TIME is NOW.

 photo DSC_1511_zps635809d4.jpg

As a perfect addition to the sentiment,
I decided to make a magician's hat, a file from HERE!

 photo DSC_1508_zpsc618a824.jpg

Looks magical, right?

I used the stars from the kit Stylin' Stars and embossed it with gold and silver and white.
They were either attached onto a stick or onto a wire to make it look like it's coming out from the hat!

 photo DSC_1515_zps1f959270.jpg

Oooh, you notice, I added in a magician's wand, too?

The next card is using the itty bitty Hubba Hubba!
I love this little guy and so happy I finally had a chance to play with him!
(whoa - that sounded weird)

 photo DSC_1530_zpscda05672.jpg

Ooh, and even sounds worse, when the sentiment is
YOU TURN ME ON! lol.

But isn't he the cutest?

 photo DSC_1534_zps480e5e3b.jpg

Here's a view from the top side...
so fun to have dimensional layers on a card!

 photo DSC_1538_zpsf9673297.jpg

So, that's it for today!

Hope that you liked what I had to share today!
