Spooky Cuties Block Puzzle - SVG Cuts DT Project.

Happy Friday!

I've got ANOTHER SVG Cuts project to share with you today -

that's twice in one week!

(That's the first that's EVER happened... and I can promise that it probably won't happen again!)

BUT!

I have ANOTHER SVG Cuts project to share with you NEXT WEEK...

so you're really in for a special treat :)

Today - I want to share a project inspired by one of my fave toys from my childhood.

As much as I loved to do the puzzle, I always thought about how fun it would be to make one these.

I guess I had a creative mind from way back :)

So... what I'm sharing with you is a BLOCK PUZZLE!

Super duper cute, isn't it?

It ALMOST looks like it's store bought -

so it makes a perfect gift for kids!

Change them to Thanksgiving or Christmas cuties and you've got a holiday gift ready!

AND...

It's actually super simple to make!

I took the die file from here, (deleted all the circles of the die)

and made nine of them. 

I created a simple picture to go on each side of the puzzle, 

making sure that it took up pretty much the whole dimension of those nine blocks.

I chose these cuties characters - 

something that's easy to cut, yet a picture that kids would appreciate!

I cut them up equally into 9 pieces, 

adhered them on each of the blocks,

and mod podged them.

Finally - I created a box to fit the puzzle in, using a file from here, adding in a window.

I created this using a paper collection from Echo Park - 

Chillingsworth Manor.

I chose a background paper to be different for EACH side of the puzzle,

so one can easily look at the paper and know what side to use!

I've also created a 'reference picture' adhered to the back of the box,

so any kid can use that to put it together.

It can be easily made by bringing the 'print and cut' files in the Extras folder on to the mat,

and then printing them up directly from your software :)

don't you just love those little felt cuties hanging out together in the back?

I saw them in the store, and just HAD to get them!

Love this little devil all glittered up in red...

He's such a cutie with a mischievous look.

Just like my son :)

The first project I'm sharing today is the one that I just started last night.

I got these amazing Advent{full} Season numbers in the mail a couple of days ago,

and have been itching to use them.

I was worried that I wouldn't finish it...

but stayed up super late, and woke up super early to get it done!

(...and I loved the way it turned out!

Which it may not happen especially when I'm lacking sleep!)

Ta-DA!!!

So fun, isn't it?

The fabulous papers are from Simple Stories Handmade Holidays.

I think it fits the 'style' well with these numbers.

In each of the tags (which I cut out using this collection, all sized to 2.5"w) -

I added a little daily 'reminder' to fully 'experience' this magical season.

All of these 'reminder' stamps are from Unity's Donna Downey Advent! kit.

I'm just gonna be showing you some pics upclose!

Next up is a card I created using the current stamp of the week!

Oooh, I love this one! 

I added few coats of the glossy accents and a sparkle onto the ornament, 

and small pieces of fake moss onto the tips of the trees.

I think that the natural burlap and kraft paper totally adds to this simple tree.

here's a little canvas which I made using the last KOM -

Jack O'Lantern-in-a-Box - SVG Cuts DT Project

Helloooo my SVG Cuts friends!!!

Oh, how I've been waiting for this day!

It's been too long since I've shared my last project with them (Christmas House one) -

and was getting anxious to share!

(Hope that you haven't forgotten about me!)

First off - I wanted to congratulate Leo and Mary for being the

GRAND PRIZE WINNER for the Martha Stewart American Made Awards.

There were over 2300 nominees!!!

Now, that's quite the achievement!

They get to meet Martha in New York City and attend her American Made Workshop, 

get featured on her website AND they receive a $10,000 prize!

That a pretty amazing way to start their married life!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

ALSO, I'm so excited that I have THREE SVG Cuts projects to share within a week!

Yep - the bottom box pulls up and reveals yummy treats at the bottom!

I made a few cards today to share with y'all!
Up first is a fun cowboy card to get you movin'!

I used papers from both Carta Bella Giddy Up collections 

(bringing out the goodness of both!)

and embellished with some wood veneer stars, trims, button and a clothespin.

Simple but a fun card!

I just love this stamp - 

the boots are so darn cute and love the font used for the sentiment!

Next up is a card from the hunting set!

This is another simple card -

but loved the concept :)

I cut out concentric circles and layered them to make it look like a target.

Except - I randomly displaced the circles off by a bit to add to the style.

The stamp is on an acetate, 

backed with a vellum,

and is holding a wooden veneer heart inside :)

Lastly, but not least - 

is another hunting one, but real outdoorsy one this time.

(sorry - ran out of time to make a dreamcather!)

I found the perfect papers from Bo Bunny to use with these stamps.

I added some burlap and mesh to make it a bit rough - 

and added some interest using Epiphany Crafts circles and stiching.

The compass and the binoculars are from HERE, if you're interested!

You've got to go take a lookie at the rest of the stamps in that kit! 

It's so much fun!

My Mama's Birthday Cupcake.

Hello friends!

My Mama just turned 65, just two days ago.
(For those of you that are friends with me must have seen my her pic I posted ;) )

She's a special woman -

beautiful inside and out,

and with her positive energy, humorous, and thoughtful personality -

she can pretty much light up any room she's in.

I just love her.

So, to commemorate her day,

I made a paper cupcake for her as part of her gift -

and I wanted to share that with you today!

She loved it.

With this project, I used the Birthday Jubilee sentiment kit.

(By the way - did you know that Unity releases a new sentiment kit EVERY month,

and they are all SO amazing?

The current one is a Halloween one, 

and am currently waiting for that one to come in the mail!)

The papers are from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection -

it's so beautiful!

Here's a side view!

I didn't really do anything 'special' with the stamps here - 

but just LOVE to used them with my papercraft projects, too!

For those who have cutting machines and are interested,

the cupcake and the flower files are from HERE.

the spoon is from HERE.

So, I asked her what she wanted to have for her birthday...

and this is what she said.

(yep - found pretty much the 'quote' of exactly what she told me!)

Just love this quote!

So, we all took her out for a nice family dinner that night,

and treated her to a special drink :)

(Of course, I'm getting her a present, too!)
