For the cool NERD in your life.

Hello!

Guess what? Angela from Unity decided to hold a HUGE sale on ALL the stamps used in the past Unity TV videos... THEY ARE ALL 55% OFF!!! WHOA!!! AND to make the sale more exciting - she decided to release 3 NEW itty bitty's and put them on sale as well!!! How cool is that? You are going to LOVE all these new releases.  I almost died when I saw them - they are SO up my alley!

Before I show you these stamps - why don't I show you the two cards that I made using them? After all, you stopped by my blog to see my work, right?

Photobucket

SO FUN, isn't it? I used Echo Park This & That collection for both of these - kinda goes with preppy, nerdy look.

You are going to be seeing lots of picture here... so if you don't want to - it's the perfect opportunity to leave my blog!

... and yay!

Thank you!

I see that you decided to stay!

Okay here goes:

Photobucket

I just love how this card turned out! Took me a while to cut all around the glasses, but how fun are they? It was totally worth it! This is from 'talk nerdy' stamp designed by Tifany DeGough - I'm just loving all her stamps!

Photobucket

Don't you just LOVE these mustaches and other geeky props? I got them from here and here. You will need a diecutting machine - FYI :)

Photobucket

Photobucket

How perfect is this stamp? Yes, you get the memo, the tape and the sentiment! BINGO!

Photobucket

In case you're wondering how I got the papers distressed, I used the Distrezz-it-all little machine. This thing is super powerful (something you don't want to stick your fingers in... yeah, your finger will be a little more than distressed) but it gives the coolest effect to your projects. Perfect for vintage looking stuff!

Photobucket

... and this 'stick with me' stamp! LOVE!

I see you admiring and drooling over these stamps!

So.. if you're interested - these can be yours for $3.29 throughout the weekend! (see all the three NEW releases below!)

Photobucket

HURRY, HURRY - go and SHOP!

Alright - that's it folks - thanks for stopping by!

Be prepared! It' a Haunted Funhouse!

Hey all! I'm getting excited as my son has only 3 days of school left.. and yeah, it's SUMMER!!!

The weather hasn't been all that summer-like, but hey - I get to sleep in, no more lunches! (well, I guess I still need to make for my hubby!) and no nagging of 'get your homework done' anymore! As a mom, I feel the obligation to make sure he gets them done, but I feel like that's all I say.  I hope that one day he realizes that I was saying all these things because I love him and want him to do well in school...

Anyway, yeah, summer's here, and what??? I'm cutting out Halloween files? All those pretty Halloween papers that just got released got me and the SVG Cuts' design team thinking about fall... No, I'm not ready for fall. I don't want to decorate with pumpkins and ghosts.  Don't worry - after this - it's back to summer crafting!

So, I decided to take the card from the Summer Street Carnival SVG Kit (have you seen that kit by the way? It's AMAZING!) and decided to make a haunted house with it!

It's pretty self-explanatory, so I'm just going to bombard you with pictures instead :)

Photobucket

It's a MONSTER MASH!

Photobucket

... and a view when you open it.

Photobucket

The card file was altered just a bit by the addition of the windows. I love how these windows have 'wooden boards' on them. Adds so much! (I'll tell ya what files I used later!)

Photobucket

I love this Frankenstein dude!

Photobucket

...and this mummy,it's so delicate, but cut PERFECTLY with my Sizzix eclips :) Oh, and you see the spider hanging down? Eek!

Photobucket

Photobucket

... and in case you were wondering does this card close? YES, it does!

Live Each Moment - Epiphany Crafts and Hip Hop Thursday Collaboration

Happy Thursday!

It's another day until the fabulous weekend! I'm getting so excited as I count down to my son's last day of school. Then, it's SUMMER!!!

Oh, and before I go on - I would like to wish my son a Happy 10th Birthday! Hooray!

Okay, today, I'm sharing a few projects, but since my Epiphany Crafts project and my Unity Hip Hop Thursday fell on the same day (and just so it happens that my project included products from both companies), I'm combining it!

So... if you're coming from Shermaine's blog, welcome to the LAST stop :)  If you're coming here, just because, thank you, and feel free to hop on along back to the Unity blog and see other projects, as well :)

Thienly Azim <----- YOU ARE HERE

Okay, I was really excited about this project - and so happy that now I get to share this with you! This week over at Epiphany Crafts' blog, we're having a rainbow challenge.  You are to create a 'rainbow' inspired project using their tools.  YOU can go and enter your project as well over on their blog using their tools for your chance to win a fabulous prize! See more details on their blog!

Anyway, I decided to take the balloons and the cloud from the May Kit of the Month.  I stamped each balloon 6 times onto 7 various rainbow colored cardstock. I cut each of them out by hand, and scored them down the middle.  I glued all the pieces together by joining one side to another and with a matching colored twine running through it.

I took each of the twine/balloon combo and stretched it over the embroidery hoop ring.  I added on clouds, sentiment (also from the same stamp kit) and made washi pennants, with two pennant being the Epiphany Crafts epoxy pennants. (Pennant 25).  I also added a heart epoxy using Round 14.

(*Excuse me for posting the same pic... one in the Unity watermark*)

Isn't it super cheerful? It brightens me up every time I look at it.

Okay, onto a couple little things:

Photobucket

Here's a card that I made using stamps from Wishes & Kisses stamp set.

...and lastly, but not least -

Photobucket

...these gifts were given to my sister on her birthday. I took stamps from oh happy day and stamped it all over the kraft wrapping paper in two shades of brown and cream. I then finished it with twine :)

The other one - I stuck the bottle in a clear bag and taped washi all around it. Super simple, but very stylish, modern and cute.

Okay, that's it!

Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate it :) Until next time!

Ahoy Mateys! It was a pirate packed weekend!

Aaarrrrgggghhhh! Ahoy me hearties!

I just wanted to share with you our pirate party that we held for my son last weekend.  Don't know where all these years went.... can't believe he's 10! Then it suddenly occurred to me that there may only be 8 more years before he decides to leave home.  Yeah, I'm in the middle of preparing this party, and I'm wiping my tears. Do you ever get that? or is it just me?

Anyway, it's nothing spectacular - you've seen way more cooler pirate parties online, but there's no way I'm spending hundreds of dollars on decorations.  Mine is all about doing a similar thing, but for free, or pretty much free. :)

I printed out our invitations on a brown glassine paper and rolled it up like a scroll... (which was super cute, but forgot to take a pic of it!)

I got the kids to pull out all their 'pirate' toys (we're definitely not hardcore pirate fans, but surprised how much there were that accumulated over the years) and that itself already set the mood!

Photobucket

I tried to do as much as I can using free printables online.  Just search for it, and you'll be amazed at how much stuff is out there for us to use! So I printed banners, food pics, and signs  - so easy right?

I also hit dollar stores and Michaels, and bought some plastic jewels and necklace, seashells and jars (which we filled with sand - a little scroll would've been cute, but ran out of time!), and treasure chests which we spray painted.

Anyway, here are some pics!

This guy freaks me out. I hate opening up the closet, forgetting that he's in there and scares me so much! Anyway, he's from our Halloween decor, and came dressed as a pirate to the party. (and I didn't even invite him!)

Walk the Plank or go home! Pretty easy game, but kids really enjoyed it!

Can't forget about the grub and grog.

I saw this idea on Pinterest and just had to do it!

My super happy son :)

Photobucket
We also watched a movie afterwards and everyone got a popcorn and a 'bomb' (foil wrapped Kinder Surprise with a string)

Photobucket
...and lastly, but not least, come meet the pirate family!

So, that's it! We had a lot of fun!

Well, fair winds for now!

Hexagon LOVE

Hey all! Hope that you all had a great weekend! My weekend was packed with a lot of PIRATE FUN (had a pirate birthday party for my son), with family and friends.  I'm exhausted, but feels good :)

I'm here to share a project using the current kit of the month from Unity! (My first blog post over on their blog today!)

Hexagons are totally in, along with chevron, burlap, canvas, washi... all things I love, and I was thrilled to see hexagon background stamp in this month' kit.

I took the stamp to create a base image, and then stamped the same image on various colored papers as well. I cut out each hexagons out and adhered them on to the base image.  Some of them, I used my fave foam tape to give dimension.

Photobucket

Photobucket

All I used was this background stamp and the 'handmade.' stamp from the kit. There's tons of other stamps in these monthly kit, to keep you busy for a LONG TIME!

Photobucket

Anyway, if you're interested - click here for more details!
Otherwise, thanks for dropping by - have a wonderful day!

Delight in Each Day - Unity's Stamp of the Week - Week 24

Hey all! It's happy Sunday, which means another new stamp of the week is revealed! and I hope that you all are having a relaxing, meaningful day with your dads this special Father's Day :)

Don't you just find one week goes by so fast? I find that new red rubber goodies are piling up on me, and so hard to find the time to play with all of the beautiful stamps.  However, I managed to make something special (and easy) with the new stamp of the week, so wanted to share that with you!

Photobucket

I made it into a rosette ribbon that can be attached to a card or a gift bag. So simple and pretty - especially with it being done in Echo Park Victoria Park papers! The rosette is from here, and find that it adds so much to the projects!

...and this is the wonderful stamp!

Photobucket

Next week, my son turns 10 (never mind a week going really fast - don't know where 10 years has gone!) and have been busy (and having lots of fun) planning and holding parties.  We had a party last night with his classmates and had another one today with family for lunch.  I'll get some pics loaded up and will share some pics later!

Anyway, look forward to another Unity card tomorrow from me using the current kit of the month! and don't forget that there's an AMAZING SALE going over at their site - with some kits going up to 60% off, and all stamps (excluding Webster's new release) are 30% off! You get free kits with purchase as well! More details on this post!

I'm working away on my next SVG Cuts' project as well.. this time something a bit more simpler, but I think that it's gonna be pretty! Something probably that my girl Amelie would love! Hope that it turns out!

Speaking of which - the newest kit from them is amazing! I can't wait to try making one of those lanterns!

Alrighty - time to go now! Thanks for stopping by!

You can go see and purchase all the images here.

So... for this, I made FOUR NEW things, and I'll recap you with my past Stamp of the Week samples to tempt you....hehe... ooooh... ready?

This first one is from ippity release! Don't ya just LOVE this chef?  He's so adorable!!!

Photobucket

It comes with three sentiments along with this guy, so it gives many possiblites!

The next one is also an ippity release... from Dream to be set.

Photobucket

These stamps are so stunning! I love it!

Photobucket

This set also comes with one other sentiment and pretty blooming flower image :)

My last card is a combination of stamps from Stamp of the Week - weeks 2 and 4.  I love combining Unity stamps. Many art and sentiment can be interchanged and mixed with each other... I find that lots of other stamp companies don't work that way!

Anyway, here it is! I think that this is my favorite out of the three!

Photobucket

... because I liked this card, you get to see more pics! HA! These are EP Note to Self papers - love that kit!
