Birthday Layout - the last of my Special Occasion series!

Okay, wow, it's been pretty busy since our launch of the Paper Dolls.  (For those of you that don't know about it, I'll introduce to you at the end of this post).  I've been getting tons of e-mails, and getting to know so many designers and their sites, and wow - I've already had such an amazing experience.  It's all coming along and we're launching the blog next week, along with our first SVG challenge! (don't know if that's coming on the same day yet!)  I am so happy to see all the comments on our Paper Dolls FB page about how excited they are about Tamara and I doing this!  Just imagine - if you are that excited, how excited we are!!! That's all we think about day and night!  Thank you so much for everyone's support!  We've got lots of fun lined up, so stay tuned!!!

Anyway, back to my post here... oh, the layout! Okay, this is the last of my layout series that I did using SVG Cuts files...  I aimed for contemporary modern kinda style for the birthday page.

Here it is!

For this layout, here are all the SVG Collections used:
1. Guy Cards SVG Kit
2. Little Sweet Peas SVG Collection
3. Birthday Dinos SVG Collection
4. Tags Galore SVG Collection

Of course, design tips:

- I chose a fun paper collection that I wanted to use (Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride) and I picked some main colors from that to use for plain cardstock.

- The brown background paper is Jillibean Soup Core Impressions, which I was able to sand the edges to reveal the core color (tan) - adds texture to the page.

- Buttons tied with twine, embellishements adhered with foam dots, and embossing all adds texture and dimension - makes the page look fun.

- Embossing folders used: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Argyle, Candycane Stripes, Ohmycrafts exclusive, and Quickutz Retro Squares.
If anyone again is interested in the actual files used and its sizes, leave a comment here, and I'll send you the Excel file over to ya!

I had so much fun creating these pages. It is important to stick to the same style throughout, the color combo you chose and pick out some embellishements to use on the page (don't choose too much as it can get busy!) Lay them out, make sure that the page balances well before glueing them down.

I hope that I have inspired you to attempt to create some beautiful keepsake pages with the precious photos that you own.

Now, back to the Paper Dolls....  In case you missed it, it's a new blog that Tamara from Happy Life, Crafty Wife and I are starting together!  If you loved us, you'll going to love this site even more!  It's an SVG challenge blog and we'll feature different SVG artists, have special featured guests, news/trends on SVG/third-party software, giveaways and anything cool that you may want to see.  We are open to ideas and suggestions, so please send them to Contactpaperdolls@gmail.com.

If you are interested in being featured in our new blog as a featured guest, or if you are an SVG designer, or interested in sponsorsing a challenge - we need all of you!  Please contact us at the e-mail above!  The more response we have, the more fun we'll have!

We are currently working on the blog, and if you're interested, this is what it looks like right now!
