Delight in Each Day - Unity's Stamp of the Week - Week 24

Hey all! It's happy Sunday, which means another new stamp of the week is revealed! and I hope that you all are having a relaxing, meaningful day with your dads this special Father's Day :)

Don't you just find one week goes by so fast? I find that new red rubber goodies are piling up on me, and so hard to find the time to play with all of the beautiful stamps.  However, I managed to make something special (and easy) with the new stamp of the week, so wanted to share that with you!

Photobucket

I made it into a rosette ribbon that can be attached to a card or a gift bag. So simple and pretty - especially with it being done in Echo Park Victoria Park papers! The rosette is from here, and find that it adds so much to the projects!

...and this is the wonderful stamp!

Photobucket

Next week, my son turns 10 (never mind a week going really fast - don't know where 10 years has gone!) and have been busy (and having lots of fun) planning and holding parties.  We had a party last night with his classmates and had another one today with family for lunch.  I'll get some pics loaded up and will share some pics later!

Anyway, look forward to another Unity card tomorrow from me using the current kit of the month! and don't forget that there's an AMAZING SALE going over at their site - with some kits going up to 60% off, and all stamps (excluding Webster's new release) are 30% off! You get free kits with purchase as well! More details on this post!

I'm working away on my next SVG Cuts' project as well.. this time something a bit more simpler, but I think that it's gonna be pretty! Something probably that my girl Amelie would love! Hope that it turns out!

Speaking of which - the newest kit from them is amazing! I can't wait to try making one of those lanterns!

Alrighty - time to go now! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp of the Week (up until week 22)
You can go see and purchase all the images here.

So... for this, I made FOUR NEW things, and I'll recap you with my past Stamp of the Week samples to tempt you....hehe... ooooh... ready?

This first one is from ippity release! Don't ya just LOVE this chef?  He's so adorable!!!

Photobucket

It comes with three sentiments along with this guy, so it gives many possiblites!

The next one is also an ippity release... from Dream to be set.

Photobucket

These stamps are so stunning! I love it!

Photobucket

This set also comes with one other sentiment and pretty blooming flower image :)

My last card is a combination of stamps from Stamp of the Week - weeks 2 and 4.  I love combining Unity stamps. Many art and sentiment can be interchanged and mixed with each other... I find that lots of other stamp companies don't work that way!

Anyway, here it is! I think that this is my favorite out of the three!

Photobucket

... because I liked this card, you get to see more pics! HA! These are EP Note to Self papers - love that kit!

Burlap and Canvas - Paper Issues new theme!

Okay, I'm back!!!

This one, I was really excited to share about, because it's my first 'official' project that I made for my Paper Issues team.

For those of you that is not familiar with Paper Issues - it's an online Etsy store, and you can purchase fabulous papercrafting supplies!  (You can use coupon: modpaperie to get 20% off EVERYTHING in their store! How awesome is that!) Their stock changes ALL the time, so I make a point of checking it every week!  It's super fast shipping, and the shipping is reasonable, too (even for Canadians!) so yeah, it's my fave shop on Etsy right now!

Anyhow - this is a blog hop, so if you're coming from Susan's blog, you're on the right track! If not, just kindly go back and start there! You won't miss me for too long as I'm the second one!

Paper Issues Blog

Besides their online store, Paper Issues also have a creative blog and linky parties, so you can go and show off your amazing projects to the rest of the world.  If your project gets featured as a post - then you get more traffic to your blog! It's a win win situation - and it's super fun! Then, there's the creative team - which I'm on, and it's just a whole bunch of girls who are literally addicted to anything paper and anything that can be attached to paper.  We all have too much fun together!

So a new linky theme has begun, and the theme is Burlap and Canvas.  These are absolutely my current fave items when it comes to adding that 'wow' factor to my projects.  (Stay focused as there's a yummy prize offered at the end of this post) You should have seen me when I found out about the theme - so happy!!!

I had these canvas pennants from Canvas Corp and wanted to do something fun with them.  As soon as I saw the Wine and Cheese Sampler paper from Black and Ivory collection, I knew I had to make a pennant to put up at a dinner party! How fun would that be!

To get started -  I stamped with Tiny Textures background stamps from Tim Holtz.  These stamps were just too perfect - each of these designs somehow matched perfectly with the Canvas Corp papers!  Then I added the cut outs from the paper along with burlap flowers and burlap cloth... and ta-da!!!

Here's my project!

Photobucket

I love how this came about. It didn't take me all that long to make, yet, it looks so pretty!!!

Of course, some close up pics!

Photobucket

I love these ribbons. I've been wanting to get these ribbons from Stampin' Up forever and finally got it in my hands - had to use it!

Photobucket

This burlap flower is already made - all I needed to do is to add the topper!

Photobucket

Oh, and I love the adhesive cork, too... have been using it in some of my projects lately... has the similar look as burlap and canvas.. and all goes together so well! I just had to add the plastic cutlery on! So fun!

Photobucket

The 'enjoy' letters are adhesive cork letters and I inked it up with black to give it 'uumph'. The pennants are cut using Papertrey Ink pennant dies.

Hope you liked my project!

You make life brighter - Unity SOTW 23

Happy Sunday!!!

Sunday means another new yummy stamp from Unity! Yeah!

Today's stamp is totally my kinda stamp - I LOVE lights, lamps, lightbulbs...  the look of them, and the meaning behind 'light'.  I just had to whip up a card when I got this.

So here it is!

Photobucket So simple, but pretty isn't it?

Oh, yeah, and pay attention to my Copic coloring! WHOO-HOO! I'm getting it! It's super fun, but everytime I start coloring, it makes me realize that I'm missing all sorts of colors! Endless addiction... and I first thought that having one set was enough! I'm so wrong! Now... I've built up to 4 sets of the Copic Ciao set of 36, and realizing that I still need more!

A look upclose:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Anyway, I hope that you love this stamp as much as I do, 'cause for all you folks that in in the Stamp of the Week club - this is coming your way!

Authentique and Epiphany... the most wonderful pairing!

Hey all! Happy Friday!

This week over at Epiphany Crafts, we've paired up with Authentique Paper! This was my first time playing with these papers and just fell in love with them.  These papers are GORGEOUS - I just LOVE the feel of them!  I was lucky to have had a chance to play with one of their new paper lines - 'Lively'.

For my project, I decided to make something that I've been wanting to try for the longest time.  It' a tag frame. When I first saw these a while ago - I was amazed.  I would have never thought to take out the frame inserts, and use the frame to suspend wires and hang tags on them. How clever is that?  I give credit to whomever that thought of this first!

Anyhow, here's my project!

Photobucket

So fun, right? This is super simple, too - especially if you're working with a kit that comes with stickers and embellishments, make a few tags and hang them on the wires! My mom loved this - she asked me as soon as I was done taking the photos, if she could take it home. It was only after I realized that maybe I should have taken them on a lighter background... but was too late!

Photobucket

The butterfly and the heart is actually a chipboard and had the PERFECT ink to go with these paper colors! The orange crinkle ribbon did the trick here, too! When you're making a tag frame, use lots of dimension, texture and various sizes. It adds to the fun!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Rosettes are another fun item to put on the tags. I simply just folded the LOOOONG strip of paper back and forth, back and forth... and then glued one end to another. Easy!

Photobucket

The Epiphany Crafts buttons and epoxy round shapes adds so much when I didn't have perfect buttons for these papers! Oh, and can't forget about the mini clothespin - love them so much and super fun way to hang the tags!

So, you in love with these Authentique papers yet? Here's a closer look at the collection!

Photobucket

Head on over to Epiphany Crafts blog, leave a comment there today (and the rest of the posts this week) letting them know how much you love these papers! You not only get this collection, but also get 'Carefree' collection and an Epiphany Crafts Square Shape Tool with Epoxies!

Photobucket

Okay, hope you liked my project today!

Don't forget to come back here this Sunday! (well, feel free to come here Saturday, too! lol...)

I've got TWO posts to share with ya!

Photobucket

It's a party hat!!! I love this hat. It's from SVG Cuts of course - it's here, if you're interested! This is my first time using Webster's Pages papers and I loved it! I was a little scared at first, but it went together beautifully!

Photobucket

Can you figure out which are stamps? (Other than the sentiment that I used? The sentiment is from May Kit of the Month)

Photobucket

The rose totally brings out the hat and makes it extra pretty!

I used these stamps in my project!

Photobucket

Doily Decor: This stamp, I used it with blue ink and cut out little doilies to add onto the hat.

Photobucket

Girl Land Doily Chevron:  I used the circle one here and layered it behind the pretty lady.

Photobucket

Fun Burst: ... and these were used behind the sentiment. Makes the statement pop out with a background stamp! :)

Loving this collection and the stamps yet?
