It feels so weird to be making this while it's snowing outside, but hey -
one can dream of summer, right?
Yeah, it's May in Calgary, and BRRR...
I've got a tank top, with a layered shirt over it, a cardigan...
still feels chilly at home!
Anyway -
I recently saw a project challenge over at Carta Bella using the Cool Summer collection.
I don't usually enter challenges, 'cause
1. I don't get enough 'extra' time to play other than my DT commitments
2. I just don't like losing! :) HA!
But hey - I had these papers and just shouted out to me...
"Make me an ice cream truck!!!"
So yeah, that's just what I did.
Mary from SVG Cuts made the cutest ice cream truck file last year,
and been itchin' to make one.
... and here's my version!~
Cute, right?
It's the file and the papers that does it.
I made a little stand up sign, too!
Those Epiphany Epoxy circle shapes were perfect to make them look like candy!
I have them on the 'headlights' as well, but it's hard to see...
I just love adding pinwheels to my summery projects...
so simple to make and adds so much!
You see the wheels?
In the original file, the tires are just glued on...
but I KNEW that my kids would want this truck to move.
MOVE FAST.
So, before I sealed off the bottom, I made holes at the sides,
inserted a thin wooden dowel and attached the tires on them.
... and here's the back...
Please don't go.
I need another fudgesicle!!!
So you like?
I wish that I had enough time to make little ice cream cones that are also in the kit...
but just didn't have enough time today!
Here's the collection that I used - Ice Cream Birthday SVG Kit.
Oh, and don't forget to pick up the free file of the week as well -
AND!!!
Looks like my Mother's Day SVG Cuts project is going up tomorrow
and I can't wait to share!!!
