Happy Mother's Day!

I am one of people, who the night before, says, "Oh, such and such is tomorrow, and forgot to make the card for it!"  I love making cards, but for some reason, I make them random, do whatever I feel like, and don't think about what NEEDS to be made.  That is, again, until the night before.

This time, I was good.  I made Mother's Day cards TWO days before.  That is impressive for me, and I'm proud of it!  It's probably because SVGCuts has released this super pretty Kate's Silhouette SVG Collection, and I wanted to use them badly and because it was so girly, Mother's Day cards were the obvious ones to do....

The other day when I made a girl card out of digital paper, I loved the look of it.  So, this time, I decided to do along the similar lines, with the sewing, inking, twine and flowers.  I think that it might be one of my new styles - so, I hope that you like it! LOL!

I made two - one for my mom, and one for my mom-in-law...  but I haven't decided which to give to whom... Hmmmm....I like them so much, I may just give to myself! Okay, that defeats my purpose of thinking ahead this time.

Anyway, here it is!

Now you get to see lots of close up pics of each of the cards....
Lucky you!

I had scraps of cotton lace - it's too pretty to throw away, so I kept it, and glad I did!

The flowers that I used in both of these cards is the same flower from Sabine's Shoe Card in Amelie's Accessories SVG Kit.

I love these stamps, and believe it or not, they are the cheap rubber stamps from Studio G (good ol' Michaels)

... and here's the other card.  Upclose and personal :)

The plain cardstock layer between the silhouette and the card base is the Scalloped Corner (an SVGCuts freebie download!)

The crinkled edge is just done with my hands.  Were you afraid that I was going to tempt you again into buying another tool???  Relief, huh?  I sewed the edges, inked it, and then just tried to wrinkle as much as possible without ripping it.  That's all there is.  Isn't it pretty?  I'm loving this technique right now.

Again, my Studio G stamp :)  (I need to go pick up the Father's day one, now!)

I did not cut the flower center.svg, and were replaced with button tied with twine.

Don't you LOVE these silhouettes?  This is the free gift of the week from SVGCuts.  Again, you know the deal - purchase $9.98 or more, and get this collection free!!!!

Okay, that's it for today!  If I don't have any more posts up in the next few days, Happy Mother's Day to all you crafty moms!  I hope that you get to sleep in, go paper shopping and craft all day! (my only dream...)

Oh, and have you all joined my on Facebook yet? If not, click here :)
