Oval me accessories :) Epiphany Crafts DT project

Hey all! I'm SUPER excited to share with you my next Epiphany Crafts DT project! We've been having a lot of fun this highlighting one of their tools - their OVAL shaped tool.

For my project - I wanted to do something UNIQUE.  Yeah, I always prefer to do something that no one has ever done.  I enjoy trying to make new things... so... what can I make that can only be done with an oval?

I referred to my good ol' Google search, typed in 'oval things' and came up with mirrors, jewelry... and then A HA moment for Thienly! I saw a watch and a pair of glasses.  BINGO! My project right there!

So, here's what I made!

Aren't they pretty? I think that my oval glasses are my favorite!

For this, I made oval buttons with my shape tool with an acetate as a backing. Then I took jewelry wires and looped it around twice and adhered it with a bit of hot glue. I made the arms - adhered that onto the card first, and then the ovals. I finished it off with the bridge piece :) I didn't have to worry about the glob of hot glue while adding in the bridge piece as the bigger it is, the more it looks like a nose pad! Anyway, yikes! I must've gotten about 4 hot glue burns doing this project!

Here's my other project - which I found an image of a clock face, and then adjusted the size to fit my oval epoxy. I spray painted the silver charm with a brownish spray to give it more of antique look.

Since I was making a tag - I needed to come up with other things - it was actually really hard... not used to making projects this style, so it was super challenging for me. Thankfully, my Unity stamps came in handy in both my projects - it brought everything together :) This set was from Generations, and the ones I used in the eyelasses card is from KOTM 12/11 Filled with Love.
