Our house extension is pretty much done!

We got a call yesterday from our contractors letting us know that we can officially start moving back in!  We have a long way to go - nevertheless, we are so excited! (The only thing I'm not excited about is that I probably won't have time to craft for a little while :(  )

Now that we have lived at my parent's for 4 months, I don't know if I'm ready to start cooking again!  We've accumulated tons of stuff over the summer, so we've got more things for us to take home than what we started here with.

The majority of stuff is sitting in our basement.  Right now, we could hardly walk around in the basement, and there's so many things that I have misplaced (and some are important documents!) - so I'm looking forward to rediscovering them one at a time.

I had promised that I would post pictures of the reno, so here it is!

This is where I do all my crafting.

I cut out dinosaurs for his light to match the wall.

Our master ensuite.

My favorite room - my daughter's room.  I love the chandelier!

Another favorite room - the laundry room.

  1. Wow, Thienly! That is GORGEOUS! You must be so excited. It will be a lot of work but how nice will it be being back in your home, right? Terrific! I hope you've backlogged a few crafts for your downtime because I'll miss your stuff if you're gone too long!

  2. Wow! I can't wait to come over for lunch....hee hee. You are going to love those wood floors, we replaced all the carpet with wood in the back of the house, we don't get sick as often, go figure. I'm glad you moved out though that is some messy work...I'm so excited for you. Have Mom come over all the time, and the transition will be easier.

  3. Wonderful!!! Beautiful home. Your craft area is certainly larger than mine. I particularly like the laundry area....wish I had an actual room with a sink like yours. We chose not to put wood under the washer and dryer, but if there's any wood left after our next and last room, we may rethink. I have travertine on my bathroom floors. I aLso have nothing but males in this house and they "aim" to make a mess if you know what I mean. The house is awesome!!!!! Congratulations on a beautiful job!

  6. WOW, what a gorgeous reno! I love the dinosaurs you cut for your son's room. I would love to know where you found them. I'd love to cut some out for my son's room. If you'd be so kind as to let me know where you got them from I'd be forever grateful.

    Thanks
