SMAKtacular Saturday! - Share your story.

Hey all!  It's Saturday, and I'm up on the Unity blog today to share some SMAK love!

Have you seen the latest September SMAK?

(For those that are new to Unity stamps - they stand for Scrapbooking/Mixed Media/Altered Art kit - and these come in 8.5" x 11" sheet of red rubber full of stamps that comes out EVERY month!)

This month... the theme is: {...never a dull moment}

It's absolutely Ah-MAZING!

This is PERFECT for all those project life pages, or scrapbook layouts!
You can even make some cool cards with them, too!

These kits are only available EXCLUSIVELY online,
BUT you have the option to purchase as a one time, OR to sign up to get this goodness every month.

So, for my project today - I'm going back to April SMAK {...Me Documented} which is one of my fave kits. It's full of gorgeous images, background stamps and sentiments, with a vintage touch.

The idea behind my project was to create something that would enhance our dinner conversations.  I wanted some form of media where we can 'write' and 'put' our thoughts...

One can put in anything that they would want to share...
something that happened today.
a thought of the day.
a new love.
a goal in life.

Whatever that is to be shared... goes in this book.

At dinner time, we'd open it, and share our stories.  Sounds like a beautiful plan, right?

Pretty, isn't it?

I made this book using a file found here (of course it's SVG Cuts!) and I embellished it with these gorgeous stamps. The papers are from Simple Stories, and used a mix of pigment ink and distress ink to give it an antique look. I also used my Staz-On ink to stamp the film strip onto an acetate before adhering to the book.

The side view... totally looks like a book.
You can even fill it up with 'thoughts' and keep it as a memoir in your bookcase, too.
It's a book of 'reflection'.

When you open the book up...

There's plenty of space to keep little notes :)

That's it!
Hope that you liked my project today!
Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend everyone!
